The ‘Namgis First Nation Soccer Tournament is an annual sporting event held on Fathers’ Day week-end. This year there will be approximately 10 Men's soccer teams and 8 Ladies' soccer teams. Be part of this community celebration and enjoy the Pageant and crowning of the Salmon Prince & Princess, which celebrates culture, and crowns 2 youth to acknowledge their high achievement in culture, including language, song, and dance. The sports day races are for all ages, and the yearly themed parade which winds its way from the Village to the sports field is located beside the Big House.

The date is set for G̱wag̱wa̱t̓a̱nx̱ (June) Thursday, 15,16,17 until Sunday, 18, 2017.

The annual celebration hosted by the ’Na̱mg̱is First nation has grown and changed over the years and we are proud to invite our youth to participate in the Salmon Princess and Prince pageant. This is our youth’s opportunity to share their knowledge with the nation. The pageant was started to promote cultural awareness amongst our Kwakwa̱ka̱’wakw youth.

The Pageant takes place on Thursday, G̱wagwa̱t̓a̱nx̱ (June) 15th, 2017 at 7 PM at the Alert Bay Gukwdzi (Bighouse) at 6PM.

Parade starts on Friday June 16th at 9am sharp.

Family Fun (Bounce-a-Rama) at Rec Centre at 7pm Friday, June 16th.
