Through its summer Walking Tour Program, the Architectural Institute of B.C. offers stunning architectural perspectives of three Victoria neighbourhoods. For locals and tourists alike these fun tours are a unique and engaging way to learn more about the history of Victoria. Site explorations include historical Fort Victoria, Canada’s oldest Chinatown and James Bay, the childhood home of famed Canadian artist Emily Carr. Tours begin at Tourism Victoria Visitor’s Centre, The AIBC asks that participants arrive 15 minutes before departure time. A distance of 3 kilometres is covered over a period of 2 hours – comfortable walking shoes are suggested. Tours are held rain or shine!
