The impact of addiction on BC is immense. Estimates are that almost 400,000 British Columbians suffer from some form of addiction or substance abuse. Addiction is not restricted to the streets, people struggling with addiction come from every demographic and socioeconomic group within our province. The impact of the disease is felt by us all both in terms of health care costs and the toll on families and communities. Addiction leads to the loss of family, the loss of integrity, respect and ultimately, the loss of hope. In the face of this grim reality we believe we can make a difference.
The Edgewood Foundation is hosting a 6K WALK/RUN to raise awareness around the devastating disease of addiction and addiction recovery.
Prizes, Silent Auction, Bouncy Castle, BBQ in the Park, Tons of fun for all ages and families.
