Adam Bay
Earthy, edgy, and upbeat, Adam Bay’s music reflects deep West Coast roots and a life-long passion for global sounds. Raised on Vancouver Island, this one-man-band is constantly striving to perfect his craft. At the age of 9 Bay learned his first instrument, the Didgeridoo, and quickly fell in love. Throughout adolescence Bays passion for global music lead him to the weissenborn and ukulele cementing himself as a multitalented one-man show.
Bay has spent many years doing performances up and down Vancouver Island, as well as playing on the Gulf Islands. His love of the Island life shows strongly in his song writting and powerful West Coast style. Drawing inspiration from the nature around him, Bay has fused West Coast flavor with international influences. Constantly working and evolving as a musician, there is something for everyone in his tracks, whether it is an upbeat Didgeridoo solo, or a mellow folky weissenborn track.
Currently in studio, Bay has teamed up with two local weissenborn luthiers for his first full length album, Neil Russell of Celtic Cross Instruments and Michael C. Rusen. Russell providing access to his private collection of vintage and original weissenborns and Rusen custom hand crafting new weissenborns for Bay, has many waiting in anticipation for the release of Bay's debt album.
Working with talented local artists, producers and videographers, Bay plans on releasing his first official album in the Spring of 2016.

Shawna Janz
Vancouver Island singer-songwriter Shauna Janz's unique lyrical landscapes, unconventional approach, and her folk-soprano voice, has awarded her quick recognition. Releasing a self-produced 5 song album in November 2014, her song Redwood was nominated "Song of the Year" at the 2015 Vancouver Island Music Awards, and garnered attention from local media. Shauna's indie-folk sounds have been described as "lyrical, soulful, warm - Joni Mitchell-meets-Sarah McLaughlin" and her performances "stunning and memorable; a unique voice that combines folk with soul, and dances between notes and cadences with ease and unpredictability." Accompanied by cello/bassist Martin Matychuk, and often including other special guests, the tapestry of sounds that Shauna's music weaves leaves an impression on listening ears.
Shauna’s love affair with the guitar remained unrequited for the majority of her life, until the two had a chance encounter in 2005. She soon discovered a natural and very intuitive gift for the muse, and as a self-taught guitar player has been dedicated to the development of her creative expression ever since.
In a short span of time open mics turned to anticipated gigs, playing in well-known Victoria venues, such as Lucky Bar, Victoria Event Center, Centennial Square, and Sidney's beautiful Charlie White Theatre. Songs from her album "Divinity" released in 2012 with her former progressive folk-rock duo Vital Hands, have been picked up by the Vancouver film industry, and U.S. production companies featured her single, Simple Beautiful, released in 2008.
Receiving vocal training from various soprano and folk/pop teachers, most recently at Yanik Giroux Performing Arts Studio and the Victoria Conservatory, she weaves in soulful high notes that leave audiences remarking on her vocal stylings to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins, Jewel, Kate Bush, Loreena McKennitt and Beth Gibbons of Portishead. Audiences can expect fascinating guitar tunings, haunting finger-picking melodies, punctuated by driving rhythms, and set amongst both ethereal soprano sounds and strong spirited vocals.
