7:30 PM to 9:00 PM

We invite you to join us at Ross Bay Villa Historic House Museum on November 16th at 7:30pm for an exploration of the lives of an early settler family. The Roscoe family created a home at Ross Bay Villa during a pivotal time in early British Columbia history. But who were the Roscoes? How do we reconstruct the lives of these first inhabitants of Ross Bay Villa Historic House Museum, and understand them in the context of Victoria today? In a cozy evening of storytelling, catch a glimpse of the everyday lives of this family, complete with picnics, skating, politics and social calls.

Storyteller Kathryn McAllister, President of the Ross Bay Society, explores the story of a family who left all that was familiar for the chance at a better life on the edge of empire, and became a part of Victoria’s complex colonial past. Advance reservations are required for this in-person event. Tickets are $10/person and available at https://tinyurl.com/2bs9wfbu.

All proceeds support our volunteer based historic house museum.
