7:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Have you ever wanted to read the diary of a wealthy Victorian? Join Ross Bay Villa Society President Simone Vogel Horridge as she delves into the social and political history of early Victoria through the eyes and ears of the English born politician and entrepreneur, Edgar Crow Baker. Intimate, frank and highly entertaining, E.C Baker’s diaries provide a wellspring of over twenty years of reflections on life in the young province of British Columbia and it’s gossipy capital city during the last quarter of the 19th century. This online lecture is on May 19th at 7:30PM.
