• 9:00 am Master of Ceremonies to introduce day schedule and the intention of the fundraiser
• 9:05 Traditional Opening Ceremony by Grace Elliot Nielson, Executive Director
• 9:15 - 10:30 am Indigenous Cultural Competency - history, colonization, residential School and the Inter-generational impacts, our current realities - Tammie Wylie MA
• 10:30-10:45 Break (books, coffee & tea available at concession)
• 10:45 – 11:45 How communication styles of Aboriginal people are impacted, and skills to communicate more effectively - Courtney DeFriend MA
• 11:45 – 12:45 pm Break for lunch. Please note lunch is not provided. (books available at table)
• 12:45 Master of Ceremonies to introduce Dr. Gabor Mate
• 12:50 – 1:50pm Dr Mate speaks about “The Biology of Loss”
• 1:50pm-2:05pm Break (books, coffee & tea available at concession)
• 2:05pm-4:00pm Dr Mate speaks about “The Biology of Loss”
• 4:00 Workshop concluded by Master of the Ceremonies
• 4:10pm Participants are drummed out of workshop through Cedar Hoop.
• 4:15-4:45 Dr Mate signing books
