Be the first to hear the remarkable music of the "Bridging Generations” Tour. This spring, the Victoria Children’s Choir will travel to the Netherlands and perform for the 70th anniversary of Dutch Liberation – a celebration of freedom and the historic role of Canada's armed forces.
Music of the unique international Tour includes modern classical, Renaissance, and folk songs – sung in Latin, Dutch, Norwegian, Haida, and English. Many wonderful pieces emphasize the events of WWII (The Brave Sons of Canada), the resilient human spirit of the 1940’s (Children go where I send thee; Sizohamba; Freedom Trilogy), and thoughtful ideas about freedom and peace (In Pace, Frobisher Bay).
Hear the music of "Bridging Generations”, and wish our choristers well, at the community Send-off Concert: Friday, April 17, 7:00 p.m. St. Aidan's United Church General admission by donation.
Proceeds support the 2015 Netherlands Tour.
