In celebration of Science Literacy Week, on September 23 World Fisheries Trust is once again partnering with Hillside Shopping Centre to bring science literacy out of the classroom and into the community!
This free family friendly event will feature something for everyone: readings of nature themed children’s books, a touch tank filled with lots of marine creatures from the Pacific Northwest, ocean themed arts and crafts, and loads of hands-on science activities for all ages!
We'll be joined by Science Venture, Engineering for Kids, Ocean Networks Canada, the Canadian Association for Girls in Science and more! Science educators and enthusiasts will be on hand to answer all your questions, fill your head with all the wacky facts you can handle and stock you up with ideas to help you carry on building science literacy at home. https://www.facebook.com/events/477876855922274/
