About Maude Barlow.: As Naomi Klein says “Maude Barlow is one of our planet’s greatest water defenders”. International bestselling author of 19 books, including the bestselling Blue Water trilogy; Honorary Chair of both the Council of Canadians and Washington-based Food and Water Watch; Executive committee of the Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature; Councillor with the World Future Council. In 2008–09, she served as Senior Adviser on Water to the 63rd President of the UN General Assembly and was a leader in the campaign to have water recognized as a human right by the UN. Winner of the prestigious Right Livelihood Award, which is known as the “alternative Nobel.”
Maude will be signing books from 11:45 to 12:15 and then again from 1:15 for a short time. Books $20 cash or cheque.
