As part of the International Development month, the public is welcome to attend A Conversation on Investments and Human Rights with Tara Scurr, who currently works with Amnesty International.
As the final event in the Comox Valley Global Awareness Conversations series, this event will touch on how financial investments and pension plans impact human rights on a global scale. Tara Scurr will discuss her recent experience with Goldcorp in Guatemala and the impact of the extractive industries.
The event begins at 7 pm in Room 121 in Puntledge Hall at the Comox Valley campus. Admission is by donation.
