Earth Day "A Celebration Of Eagles" Growls (Gabriola Rescue Of Wildlife Society) presents an evening with Eagles. A Eagle Galleria with paintings,photography, stained glass, carvings, cards created by local artists will be on display to browse and buy. Home-baked Eagle cookies for sale made by one of our GROWLS members and The Eagles Cry a wonderful children's book which features GROWLS in the story. The Positive Energy Quilters will have some of their remarkable quilts on display as they raise awareness of the looming threat to BC coastline of oil tankers plying the coast. A film Valley of Eagles will be shown and it contains dramatic footage of eagles fishing for salmon in the Chilkat Valley Alaska and Brackendale BC. Eagles call Gabriola home and there are over 23 nests with many new nests now being identified and logged.
Please join us on Earth Day to celebrate one of the great raptors on our coast. This is a free event and everyone is welcome.
