A benefit concert for the BC Children's Hospital @ the Uvic Phillip T. Young hall.
The program is a mix of Oriental and Western music.
The concert program begins with the Classical Persian "Darya Ensemble" presenting authentic music from the East.
Pianists Daniel Jordan and Armand Saberi will play Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's
Symphony Suite Op.35 "Scheherazade" for two Pianos (transcribed by the composer).
This piece combines the brilliant Russian virtuosity with sweet Oriental melodies and rhythms, inspired by Oriental literature (The Book of One Thousand and One Nights) and paintings.
Enjoy the beautiful music while supporting the BC Children's Hospital!
Everyone is welcome!
