Dive into the 9th Annual Gabriola Theatre Festival

Not only has the Gabriola Theatre Festival made a name for itself in British Columbia’s theatre world, but it is also known as the place to come for quality emerging and professional theatre productions, appreciative audiences, its multi-disciplinary nature, fun family times, and its distinct Gulf Island vibe.

We have so much more to share with you this year! Theatre that pushes boundaries, makes you laugh, makes you cry, and makes you question all you thought was real. And don’t miss the festival favourites this year!

We’ve brought back the FREE Outdoor Stage to entertain you before, between, and after mainstage shows. Then there’s the Lions Pancake Breakfast, Street Art+Fair, a fun Kids’ Corner, a family puppet show, and the opening ceremony which will celebrate the generosity of local restaurant, Robert’s Place!

The festival theme this year is UNDER THE SEA, celebrating all that surrounds us. You’re shore to have an exciting weekend on beautiful Gabriola!
