Hosted by the Geography Department, the North Island chapter of the Planning Institute of BC, the Geographic Students Union, Solutions: A Sustainability Network, and the New City Institute, the 8th Annual Urban Issues Film Festival presents films that inspire us to think differently about water in the city. The film "A World Without Water" will provide context to water related issues, while shorter films such as "Walk in Beauty: Clean Energy for a Changeable World", and "Revolutionizing the Role of Water in Urban Planning" present ideas for future urban planning. These films highlight the importance of urban planners in designing and improving upon the cities where we live, work and play, and encourage community support for a sustainable way of life. A free dinner including pizza and sushi options will be offered, and of course, popcorn! Registration would be appreciated at: http://www.urbanfilmfest.eventbrite.ca/
