This paleolecture covers dinosaurs from the Jurassic-Cretaceous boundary to the Upper Cretaceous of the Peace Region of British Columbia. Richard T. McCrea and Lisa Buckley, Curators at the Peace Region Paleontology Research Centre will present results of research on tracks and skeletal finds from the Mesozoic of northeastern British Columbia. They will talk about the recovery by helicopter of British Columbia�s first complete dinosaur in the summer of 2013 and the realization that the dinosaur excavation site is a bonebed. Other topics will include dinosaur tracksites in BC including the newly discovered �Dinosaur Gorge� from the Jurassic-Cretaceous boundary. This gorge contains the northernmost records of sauropods as well as one of the oldest records of avians in the world.
