The Campbell River Art Gallery and The Campbell River Arts Council are pleased to present the annual Members’ Exhibition showcasing our community’s artists. This celebration is sure to boast an incredible array of artists working in a variety of mediums.
In addition, we will be presenting a new addition to the Members’ Exhibition: A view from the easel. Originally an on-line project that started in 2011 by Praeteria blogger Philip A. Hartigan and presented by the folks at Hyperallergic, A view from the easel ask artists to document their studio work space from their point-of-view. The creative process, the artist, and, in turn the artists’ space has been and continues to be of interest. Steeped in mysticism, the artist and their studio remain the physical manifestation of creativity, in process. Adapting this project for the Campbell River Art Gallery community in conjunction with the 33rd Annual Members’ Exhibition, it is our hope to share these spaces and thoughts in the context of our local artists.
