African Xylophone from Guinea Thurs. 2-4 pm - $40 Learn new rhythms on Balafon – African Xylophones. These wooden instruments are beautiful and rich in their melodies. Balafons are provided for you, and we start with simple patterns in a step-by-step manner. In this workshop, we will focus on the Guinea style of balafon.

Burundi Beat Thurs. 6:00-8 pm - $40 This rhythm from East Africa is played on large wooden drums. The Burundi Beat is very powerful, yet easy to learn. You will learn the basic beat and a series of breaks, along with stops and starts that go with the rhythm. Slap Happy -

Getting Great Sound on Your Drum Thurs. 8-9:30 pm - $29 Do you ever feel that you are not getting the sound that you would like from your drum? Getting slap sound is not actually all that difficult... You just need the right approach! Beginners are welcome and all instruments are provided.
