2nd Annual Pi Day: A Community Science Celebration

Owls and whales and robots, oh my! Come explore some of the many amazing science organizations in our community at the Nanaimo Science and Sustainability Society's 2nd Annual Pi Day science celebration; co-hosted with the Departure Bay Eco-School PAC.


Booths with hands-on activities will be set up around the Departure Bay School; participants include NIWRA, Strawberry Island Marine Research Build a Whale, Seaquaria touch tanks, 3-D printers, Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre, BC Robotics and more!


During the morning teams will be working on creating a giant chain reaction marble run - to be set off at 1pm.


Light concessions available on site.


Admission is by donation with proceeds supporting NS3's educational programming.
