2ND ANNUAL PALM COURT TEA
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Travel back in time with the 2nd Annual Palm Court Tea, a nostalgic era dating from the 1910s, epitomizing ladies in mid-calf fashionable dresses and ornate jewelry, accompanied by debonair gentlemen in appropriate suits and shiny black shoes. Those were the days, sadly long gone except perhaps at the Queen’s Soirees.
Here is your chance to have a “Palm Court” experience of Afternoon Tea with the accompaniment of light classical music by accomplished pianist, Peter Walker. The church is rearranged for the occassion with a planned decadence. The tables will be set with fine china and the edibles will be equally appealing. Guests are encouraged to dress for the occassion to be a part of the “Palm Court” fun and nostalgia. You are welcome to enjoy all the event trappings with or without your hats and gloves. This event is presented by St John the Divine’s Musical Mosaics Concert Committee and the Fifth Street Refugee Sponsorship Group.
Proceeds will go to Refugee Sponsorship. A limited number of tickets are available at $20.00 each by calling the church office at (250) 334-4331 or (250) 334-3385.
