The BC Forest Discovery Centre celebrates kids this BC Day long weekend for 3 fun-filled days for families in and visiting the Cowichan Region. “This event has been a popular tradition for several years now and we thought it was time to TRIPLE the FUN, so we added a third day a couple of years ago,” says Chris Gale, Manager at the BC Forest Discovery Centre. “Steam train rides, entertainment, imagination station and activities for the kids, prize draws, our almost famous BBQ, mini donuts, our new interactive Forests Forever Exhibit, and a great educational experience, are only a few reasons for kids of all ages to come out to the event.” A special 1 to 3-day admission rate of $8 for children 3 years to 18 years, Adults $10, Seniors and Youth at only $8, and 2 years and under are FREE, makes it an affordable 3 day weekend for all, with last steam train departures at 4 pm.

It's a fun way to celebrate the BC Day long weekend. In fact, you'll want to attend all three days as the entertainment on our outdoor stage will rotate host musicians Andy Mccormack and Dennis Atkins performing for the kids to dance and sing along with from 11 am - 3 pm each day, plus lots of surprises that are sure to make your visit memorable. With 100 acres of discovery, education and fun, you'll want 3 days to experience it all. Be sure to hang onto your tickets as they are good for all 3 days!
