2019 Fall Openings at VIU's Milner Gardens & Woodland

Enjoy the beautiful tapestry of Fall colours. Gardens open 11am to 3:30pm, with last entry at 3pm. Tea Room open 11am to 3pm for tea, delicious homemade soups and scones, and desserts. Reservations are not required or available for the drop-in, regular menu, viewable at https://www2.viu.ca/milnergardens/tea-and-shops.asp . Please note: Full Afternoon High Tea reservations resume in late Spring 2020. Garden admission is payable to access Tea Room. Adult admission is $6, youth age 13 to 18 admission is $4. Free entry to Milner Gardens members, children 12 and under accompanied by an adult, and current VIU students with card. The Shuttle Cart service can transport those able to move unassisted from wheelchair or walker to cart and can accommodate foldable wheelchairs, walkers and strollers only. The Shuttle Cart service is prioritized for those with mobility challenges. Milner House and the Ursus Den (Shoots with Roots classroom) are mobility-friendly. There is a ramp to access the Tea Room, Welcome Centre and Gift Shop. Walkers commonly are used in the Tea Room. Benches are found within the garden. Accessible washroom facilities are available at the Welcome & Interpretive Centre, Pool House Gift Shop & Milner House. You may borrow umbrellas if needed, and heritage plants from the Milner collection may be purchased at the Gift Shop. These are the last public openings prior to the Milner Christmas Magic evenings which commence December 6th.
