Get ready for the highlight of your summer: TWO Shakespeare comedies
MEASURE FOR MEASURE, directed by Alex Gallacher AND
MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, directed by Kimberley Phillips.
Starting August 6, the Gem O' the Isle in Cowichan Station (Koksilah Road) will become the hub of all things theatrical in the valley. This is the eighth year in a row The Shawnigan Players are presenting a full live theatre show with a large cast in colourful costumes in the fairy-tale-like surrounding of a small orchard and under the starry sky.
Whether you have seen a show here before or not, prepare to be wowed by the remarkably topical and smart Measure for Measure or be entertained one of Shakespeare's favourite comedies, Much Ado About Nothing, all in the best possible surroundings for live plays of this 'nature' (pardon the pun)
