NIC's Write Here Readers Series and the Comox Valley Writer’s Society present the first North Island Writers Festival. Join 23 North Island writers/publishers as they focus on a weekend of writing and publishing with attendees from throughout the region.

FRIDAY, January 26th - Open to public

Reception: 6:30 – 7:00pm
Keynote speaker: 7:00 – 7:30pm
Book sales / social: 7:30 – 8:30pm

Featuring workshops and panel discussions with:

Betty Annand, Marlet Ashley, Jayne Barnard, Kim Bannerman, BV Bayly, David Buckland, Bruce Burrows, Betty Donaldson, Bernice Friessen, Rick James, Terrance James, Susan Ketchen, Trevor McMonagle, Mary Murphy, Kymme Patrick, Craigh Shemilt, Howard Stewart, Junie Swadron, Jeanette Taylor, Judy Wing, Clyde Woolman and Dave Young.

Time: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Cost: $25 per session (Limited free seats available for NIC students and local high school students).
