A Port Theatre Spotlight Series Presentation
Renowned for her extraordinarily powerful vocals, Betty Bonifassi is one of Canada’s great voices. In a lively and diverse set, Betty will perform both Jimi Hendrix covers and originals from her ambitious album that pays tribute to African-American prisoners’ songs. Betty beautifully conveys the intensity of the emotion and hope in these slave songs, while seamlessly alternating between a range of styles: blues, soul, funk, jazz, electronic and rock.
Andrew Homzy’s NOLA NightHawks will open the show.
