A Port Theatre Spotlight Series Presentation
Legendary singer-songwriter Buffy Sainte-Marie is supporting her bold new album, Power in the Blood, in this solo show. “Life is precious, diverse and worth protecting” has long been multi-award winner Buffy’s inspiration, and her messages resonate with new audiences and loyal fans alike. Winner of the 2015 Polaris Music Prize, Power in the Blood is as eclectic and exciting as ever, and includes a contemporary version of her debut hit “It’s My Way” whose lyrics about the road to self-identity are as valid today as they were 50 years ago. As always, Buffy’s music transcends genres and the chameleon artist showcases her inspiring creativity and unique talents.

Opening the show is singer-songwriter William Prince who won Aboriginal Artist of the Year at the 2016 Western Canadian Music Awards.
