July 24th. Ukulele concert at the McMillan Arts Centre in Parksville. There will be something for everyone to enjoy. Parksville's own ukulele orchestra and the well known Jazzalele Trio perform a variety of ukulele music from pop to jazz and anything in between. Tickets are available from the McMillan Arts Centre. Get your tickets early and pay only $15. Tickets at the door $20. Doors at 6:30 p.m. Concert at 7:00 p.m.

July 25th. Workshops at Oliver Woods Recreation Centre. Check www.alohafest.ca for more information. Workshop spaces are limited to 30 participants. Buy workshops online before July 1 for Earlybird prices. Beginners workshop is free. Sign up today.

July 25th Ukulele Gala Concert at Oliver Woods Rec Centre. Pacifica Ukulele Ensemble from Campbell River, Nanaimo's own Jazzalele Trio and from Victoria, Diamond Tooth Molly perform a variety of musical genres that will surprise and delight you. Something for everyone. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Concert at 7:00 p.m.

July 26th Ukulele Picnic in the Park at Bowen Park Amphitheatre. Free event.

Starts at 1:00 to 4:00. Featuring local Nanaimo and Parksville ukulele talent. From the beautiful renditions of Elise Boulanger to the ever popular Nordli Nanaimo Seniors Ukulele Players and many more in between. Bring your lawn chair and your ukes for a sing and strum. And, if you have one, bring your Daily Ukulele books as well and be prepared to sing among other ukulele enthusiast from across Vancouver Island. See you there.
