Take an autumn's sunset walk along Nanaimo's beautiful seawall, enjoy sushi, steak, or perhaps a martini at one of the area's fabulous local restaurants, and then join us for a weekend of breath-taking live classical music in the heart of Nanaimo's arts community.

Under the musical direction of Pippa Williams of the Vancouver Island Symphony, Nanaimo Conservatory of Music is pleased to announce the 2014 Vancouver Island Chamber Music Festival at the newly re-imagined Harbour City Theatre, former location of Nanaimo Centre Stage. Building upon last year's success, the festival now enters its fourth year of bringing the very best classical musicians to Downtown Nanaimo in stirring performances ranging from divinely inspired works of the late Renaissance, to more exploratory contemporary masterpieces.

The festival takes place over two days, including Saturday matinee and evening shows and a Sunday closing bill.

Thanks to our community's generous support, tickets are an unbelievable $20 per show, or $40 for a pass valid both days. With three events presenting more than fifteen professional chamber musicians, this is the opportunity to catch big city talent at a small town price. Call for more information about group rates.
