The Festival of Trees is Vancouver Island University's premier fundraising event with proceeds used to provide state-of-the-art learning spaces and much needed financial support for VIU students. The VIU Festival of Trees schedule of events:

Leading up to November 16 - Community Tree Decorating Challenge
Presented by TD Bank

You can buy, scavenge, or create the decorations, lights and tree - and donate it to this year's Festival, first for public viewing and voting, then followed by a tree raffle and delivery to the winning home! Your tree will be a part of our 'Festival Grove' and will be lit with dozens of other uniquely created trees!

Thursday, November 21 - Cocktail Reception

Santa Clause is coming to town! On November 23rd and 24th, Santa, along with Mrs. Claus and their Elves, will be at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre kicking off the holiday season. Greet Santa as he flies in from the North Pole to guest star in your holiday photos! Bring your family and friends down for two days of Christmas-inspired entertainment, interactive activities, beautiful tree gazing and a treat or two. Admission is by donation. 400+ guests will be treated to a gourmet dining experience among beautiful Christmas inspired decor and our colourful trees. November 21 to December 1 - Online Auction

The VIU Alumni Association Online Auction will open on Thursday, November 21 and close at 4pm on Sunday, December 1, 2013. Items will be available for viewing closer to the auction date.
