Watershed is an evolving group of environmentally conscientious musicians. Originally motivated by a request from Project Watershed looking for performers to assist in fundraising, Jane Dunnett and John Brown began by collaborating last spring with Scott Lyle on bass and Ian McGlynn on fiddle and guitar. The approach Watershed took to develop a repertoire was to have most of our songs reflect environmental themes and issues specific to the Comox Valley watershed and estuary.
Kus Kus Sum is a joint project of Project Watershed and the Comox First Nation. The funds raised will assist in the purchase and restoration of the old Fields Sawmill site on Dyke Rd at 17th St. Joining Watershed as guest performers for this June 5th Kus Kus Sum fundraiser are Scott Lyle on Bass, Bodie McNeill on percussion, and special guest appearance by Blaine Dunaway on fiddle. Come join us in an effort to “Unpave Paradise”
