Make a day or weekend of touring downtown Nanaimo and the Old City Quarter. On one weekend only over 50 artists open their private homes and studios to the public or they find temporary space in shops, galleries and theatre space. There are dozens of painters in a variety of styles plus, quilting, glass, furniture, jewelery, enamelling, fibre art, weaving, printmaking, solar pyrography, encaustic painting and more.
There are dozens of fabulous eateries in the area so plan on making a day (or two) of it.
