2010 Joy of Photography 15th Annual

The Harbour City Photo Club is pleased to announced that the 15th annual Joy of Photography will be held Saturday, March 27th at Vancouver Island University Theatre Building 310. This year there will be two shows on March 27th, a matinee in the afternoon at 2:00 pm, and a show in the evening at 7:00 pm.

The Joy of Photography is a multi-media photography presentation, which includes a print exhibition, refreshments and door prizes. The public will enjoy the picturesque slides shows created by club members with choreographed music.

The Joy of Photography had its start 15 years as a venue to showcase our members� photography talents and diversifications. This year along with the print exhibition, the multi media presentation will feature �Island Transport� a showcase of local photographers work and their own unique interpretations.

The audience will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite presentation for the
�Peoples Choice Award� and the creator of the presentation will win $100.

�This year we look forward to more entries than ever before, as our club has grow significantly in the last year� says Valerie Mumford, Publicity and Marketing Director.

Pre-Sold Tickets for The Joy of Photography are $12.00 and can be purchased at our regular Tuesday evening meetings at St Andrews Church on Wesley, or through any of our members. Tickets will also be available at Yellowbird Art Gallery (Country Club Mall)
or Nanaimo Arts Council (North Nanaimo Centre), or $15.00 at the door on the show date.

Doors open for the matinee at 1:15 pm with the show starting at 2:00 pm, doors will open in the evening at 6:15 pm and the show will commence at 7 pm.
