The 153rd Victoria Highland Games & Celtic Festival has promoted the highest standards in highland dancing, piping, drumming, athletics and Scottish heritage and culture over its long, distinguished history.
This longest running cultural event on the west coast of North America provides Victorians and visitors the opportunity to enjoy a taste of Scotland – a time to renew old acquaintances and extend a welcoming hand to new friends. The Games have established a home at Topaz Park, with its large natural grass fields and central location in Victoria. The Games are renowned for their heavy event competitions, drum major competitions and pipe band competitions, with world champions and other elite competitors arriving from all over the world to compete in Victoria.
Spectators can also view a highland dance competition, a sheepdog herding competition, kilted mile athletics, tug of war competition and a variety of Scottish and Celtic dance and music entertainment throughout the park. Single Malt Whisky school and beer gardens are present for adult entertainment, and a large free Children's Entertainment Area will be enjoyed by the all kids.
