Our last 15 Minutes of Infamy for the season incorporates fundraising for Pull Together (pull-together.ca), a collaboration of three non-profit groups, including Raven Trust, who are working to support First Nations with the costs incurred by their legal challenges to oppose the Kinder Morgan pipeline project. The five dollar per person door will be donated to Raven Trust.
Our host for the evening will be Stephen Novik, with performers: The Shoplifters of Life, Pat Smekal, Carla Stein, Vicki Drybrough, Judith Hutchison, and Susan Pederson.
Pull Together, a joint initiative of Sierra Club BC, RAVEN Trust, and Force of Nature Alliance, is a community fundraising campaign with the goal of raising 500,000 dollars to support First Nations-led legal challenges opposing the expansion of the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain Pipeline. This project poses an unacceptable threat to our coastal ecosystem and the communities that thrive on its shores. T'sleil-Waututh Nation, Coldwater Band, and the Squamish Nation are leading with legal cases against the pipeline.
