The Vancouver Island Short Film Festival is back for its 11th year on February 12 and 13, 2016. VISFF is proud to present a selection of some of the best in short film at the only festival of its kind on Vancouver Island, which drew a sold-out crowd in 2015. The 11th Vancouver Island Short Film Festival debuts on Friday, February 12th at 7pm presenting you with the final selection of short films. The VISFF crew invites you to stay for musical guests Boomshack! a 7-piece band that's sure to get you grooving with a genre described as "Everybody Dance". Saturday ticket holders are invited to attend Boomshack's performance with proof-of-purchase after the film screenings.
On Saturday, February 13th at 2pm, the short films will be followed by a filmmakers' Q&A session. Come and learn about some of the filmmakers' inspirations, knowledge and tips on how to make a short film.
The Saturday 7pm screenings will be followed by the awards ceremony. Find out who wins in seven VISFF categories. After the awards ceremony there will be a VISFF after-party. Stay tuned for details!
