110th Cobble Hill Fair

Mark Saturday, August 24th as a 'must do' and take in the 110th Cobble Hill Fair. Our Old Fashioned Country Fair showcases everything that is great about living in the Cowichan Valley. All of the familiar components of the Fair are back. The pancake breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. followed by the horse show, animal displays with judging, the vendor village, hall displays, dog agility and duck herding as well as live stage entertainment. There is so much to see and enjoy at the Fair but this year we're adding a twist by adding a KIDS ZONE.

Much of the KIDS ZONE will include a bouncy castle, obstacle course, photo booth, 2 large jenga games, corn hole tosses, washer tosses, face painting as well as our own ever popular fish pond with its terrific prizes. We'll also have popcorn and other treats for the kids. KIDS ZONE visitors can stay all day or get their hand stamped to leave the area and come back later. Entry into the ZONE is $5 with everything included. Take time to visit with friends and neighbours. Learn what's new from those participating in the Vendor Village. Whether your interest is in historical displays, old farm machinery, livestock, home crafts, flowers, domestic science, needlework, photography, live stage entertainment or the horse show there is always something for everyone at the Cobble Hill Fair. As you enjoy wandering though the grounds, we hope you will take a moment to reflect on the value farming has brought to our community and to the Cowichan Valley. Never before in our history has it been more important to support our local producers as they try to ensure the agrarian lifestyle and the community benefits gained from it are perpetuated. Many of you will be pleasantly surprised at just what is available so close to home.
