Join our camping specialists for this Special March Break Edition of our Backcountry 101 clinic! This is a free 1+hour clinic designed to introduce youth to the equipment required for a safe and comfortable trip.

By the end of the session participants will be familiar with the essential equipment required for either a day hike or multi-day hiking/camping adventure, including:
 
The 10 Essentials

- Appropriate Footwear
- Clothing and Layering Systems
- Cooking Systems
- Sleeping Systems
- Understand the importance of a properly fitting backpack and learn how to pack your own
 
We will provide all of the materials you need for this clinic. Come with your questions and a sense of adventure!
 
*This clinic is for youth between the ages of 12-18.  If your child is outside this age range, please contact our Outreach Coordinator Elizabeth Brady at elizabeth.brady@mec.ca.
 
Please meet in the camping department, in the south end of our store.  As weather permits, we may hold this clinic on our patio.
