Whitey Somers releases "The Call Of The Blues". A new album with 10 new blues infused tunes sure to have you dancin' in your shoes. In the upcoming show Whitey is performing songs from the new CD as well as songs from previous releases. Joining Whitey on stage are Nick Dokter (Drums), Todd Sacerty (Bass) and Nico Rhodes (Keys).
=0D=0A=Since the age of 16 guitarist, Motorhome Records recording artist, singer, songwriter Whitey Somers has been performing internationally at festivals, concerts and clubs, on the bill with many talented musicians, such as David Essig, Stephen Fearing, Jeff Healey, Rick Fines, Harp Dog Brown, David Vest and Wicked Grin to name a few.
=0D=0A=There's been a lot of shows over the last 40 years. Whitey currently performs solo acoustic shows, with "Whitey Somers Band" and as bassist/vocalist for “The Screaming Gas”. As a side man and session player Whitey has most recently worked with such artists as "Blue Dog Ramble", "The Jessica Benini Collective", "Alexander's Bluestime Band", "Beverley McKeen", "Blue Cadillac" and more.

=0D=0A=As a nephew of Canadian composer Harry Somers, Whitey Somers found an early love of music, a pool he most happily dove into.
=0D=0A=Whitey's song "The Call Of The Blues" ( the title track from his new CD release ) is currently in the semi-finals of the Unsigned Only International Music Competition.
