TRISH, is a breast cancer survivor and active dragon boater; SONJA, a recent widow &amp; new comer to the Valley, SONJA tries internet dating; MJ is a fun &amp; quirky wellness expert on women&rsquo;s healthy aging; ALEXANDRA is a successful executive and wine connoisseur who faces her mother&rsquo;s dementia and an unfaithful husband; JOAN is a shut-in on Remembrance Day with family secrets to tell; and, STREETWOMAN, a lady with a mysterious past and uncertain future.<br /><br />When I&rsquo;m 64 is a rare play giving voice to the rich tapestry of mature women&rsquo;s experience, and gives rare opportunities for mature actresses to sink their teeth into meaty roles with humor and poignancy.<br /><br />Best selling author, Katherine Gibson, wrote in the Echo &amp; Record, &ldquo;When I&rsquo;m 64&hellip;is funny, poignant, authentic&hellip;Hill has real talent getting inside the hearts and heads of female characters.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Ode to Older Women &ndash; Tales of struggle, triumph.&rdquo; is how Victoria Times Colonist theatre critic Adrian Chamberlain describes the new play by Comox Valley playwright, Steve Hill.<br /><br />The Artistic Director of Victoria&rsquo;s Shakespeare by the Sea calls it, &ldquo;The best writing for women since Lillian Hellman.&rdquo;<br /><br />This production is being supported by the <a href="http://www.cvwbn.org/" target="_blank">Comox Valley Women&rsquo;s Business Network </a>so Valley audiences can see this made-in-the-Valley production that has received numerous accolades down Island and is currently being filmed by Shaw TV.<br /><br />The Comox Valley Women&rsquo;s Network has decided to donate all proceeds from this production go to the <a href="http://larchecomoxvalley.org/i-belong-campaign/" target="_blank">L&rsquo;Arche Comox Valley&rsquo;s I Belong!
