Consider a career in the busy, well-paying automotive industry! Vancouver Island University’s 10-month, entry-level Automotive Service Technician Program gives students the skills and knowledge they need to find work as an automotive apprentice, a trainee parts person or service advisor.
=0D=0A=What’s unique about the VIU program is that students work in a live shop environment, applying classroom theory to real-world situations using all the latest tools and diagnostic equipment.
=0D=0A=Because the automotive industry is a growing field with plenty of job openings expected, the provincial and federal governments recently announced funding for an expanded Marine, Automotive and Trades Complex at VIU, which will increase the program’s capacity and create a new apprenticeship lab for enhanced student learning opportunities.
