Kat Eggleston is an artist of great range who has elated and inspired audiences all over the world with her strong, clear voice and masterful fingerstyle guitar technique. Along with her research and interpretation of traditional music, she brings powerful original songs which use lyrical and emotional truth to touch a wide range of life's experiences. She has collaborated onstage and in recordings with a variety of musicians, including David Bromberg, Tom Dundee, and long-time music partner Kate MacLeod. Kat has recently released “Speak”, an award-winning solo album which was sparsely recorded with only guitar and voice.

Our feature act will be preceded by what is arguably Victoria’s best weekly acoustic Open Stage session where musicians from fledglings to professionals can perform a 10 minute set for one of the most welcoming, attentive and participative audiences in town. Aspiring Open Stage performers can sign-up with the VFMS Host between 7:00 and 7:30pm to do a set but should get there early to improve their chances of getting on the evening’s line-up.
