Enjoy FREE shows from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday in Centennial Square and from 1:30 to 3:20 p.m. on Friday at Beacon Hill Park&rsquo;s Cameron Bandshell. <p>On Thursday July 26, Flamenco Guitar Night features three of Victoria&rsquo;s virtuoso guitar soloists, Gareth Owen, Juan de Marias, Jake Lee, alongside guest guitarist Josue Tacoronte from M&eacute;xico, and singer Jafelin Helten of Vancouver. The show begins at 8:00 p.m. at Hermann&rsquo;s Jazz Club.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>On Friday July 27, Dark Sounds features a reading by visionary poet Jan Zwicky, whose poems, like flamenco, attend the darkest, clearest truths. She will read from recent work and perform a suite of poems with flamenco artists, to be followed by an on-stage interview. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. at Intrepid Theatre on Blanshard.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>On Saturday July 28, Vancouver&rsquo;s flamenco troupe Calle Verde performs their show liminal, which explores that space between waking and dreaming, in collaboration with guest artist P&aacute;jaro Negro, an award-winning dancer from New York City. The show begins at 8:00 p.m. at Metro Studio Theatre.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Flamenco artists from across North America will perform FREE shows in Centennial Square from 12:00 &ndash; 1:00 on Friday, and approximately 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. So bring a hat, a bottle of sunscreen, and your heartiest jaleos to applaud these inspired performers!</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Flamenco de la Isla was formed in June of 1998, and incorporated as a Society in July of 1998. The board of directors was formed by students and afficionados of the art of Flamenco.</p>=0D=0A=
