Velvet Rut Express Fest is a one day non-profit festival presented by CVCAS. Kids welcome.

It takes place in Waterwheel park in the centre of Chemainus, BC. This by-donation event features two stages with countless acts. The performers are from all different genres and backgrounds. The stages are in an outdoor park. There are no fences and no surprise expenses. Just easy times and good tunes.

There are many festivals these days, but the organizers and volunteers involved in Velvet Rut Express Fest are dedicated to setting up an accessible and affordable one day festival that features multi-genre, original, and independent music by vibrant, relevant, and interesting musicians.

Don’t want to pay a fortune to see a bunch of top 40 bands at a giant festival where you are fenced into a compound and are not allowed outside food or drink? Velvet Rut Express Fest is the alternative!
