<p>What Is Slavery? A Global Perspective</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Dr. Vlassopoulos has written extensively about the history of slavery in the ancient Greek world, globalization and intercultural encounters in antiquity, the history of political thought, and the history of historiography. He is the author of Historicizing Ancient Slavery; the co-editor of Violence and Community: Law, Space and Identity in the Ancient Eastern Mediterranean World and Communities and Networks in the Ancient Greek World; and has written numerous articles on slavery in the ancient Greek and Roman worlds and on the practice of Greek history.</p>
