Both Dizzy and Monk were among the initial architects of bebop music, working on their new sounds at all hours at Harlem clubs like Minton&rsquo;s and Monroe&rsquo;s Uptown House. The UVic Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dr. Patrick Boyle, celebrates these masters with their best-known works alongside some of their hidden gems.</p>
