<p>Founding artistic director of Pacific Opera Victoria, Maestro Vernon has earned the admiration of audiences and fashioned POV into one of the city&rsquo;s true cultural treasures. Maestro Vernon will conduct the UVic Chorus &amp;&nbsp;Orchestra in G. F. Handel&rsquo;s Utrecht Te Deum, Hindemith&rsquo;s Symphonic Metamorphosis, and Beethoven&rsquo;s Coriolanus Overture.</p>=0D=0A=
<p>Faculty pianist Arthur Rowe and trumpeter Merrie Klazek will join the Orchestra in Shostakovich&rsquo;s Piano Concerto No. 1 for Strings and Trumpet. Cake reception to follow!</p>
