Versatile vocalist and well-rounded musician Narissa Young has spent her life exploring through a musical lens from her home base in Nanaimo BC. Narissa's deep connection to music came likely before she was born and has persisted in her life with fierce tenacity. From the transistor radio that went everywhere with her as a child to playing the saxophone in school bands, electric bass in rock bands, guitar, university jazz studies, and touring across Canada as a lead vocalist in a rock band, music is her life.
=0D=0A=

Her first album as singer/songwriter “So Far” released digitally in 2011, is now followed by her 2020 recording “Fever at Studio Live” working closely with Nanaimo pianist Scott Arkell as well as several Vancouver Island musicians for quintet tracks.
=0D=0A=

Never one to underestimate the healing power of music to connect people and inspire transformation, Narissa’s journey continues as she works towards a degree in vibrational healing and considers it a tremendous honour to be a musician.
=0D=0A=

Growing up on the incredible West Coast of Canada provided endless inspiration for songs, Narissa is passionate about writing powerful melodies and applying rich vocals that have the ability to touch the soul.
=0D=0A=

Born in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Scott Arkell began playing piano at the age of three. A student of Audrey Thomas, who also taught jazz superstar, Diana Krall, he had early exposure to a broad range of musical styles by the age of five. With a fierce determination to refine his talent, Scott studied and excelled in music composition and performance programs at Vancouver Island University. He has shared his love of music, the jazz genre in particular, with audiences both locally and internationally.
