This original play features the talents of five BC actors - Barbara Pollard, Tamara McCarthy, Sebastien Archibald, Adrian Hough, and Michael Armstrong. The play is directed by Artistic Associate Nicolle Nattrass.
=0D=0A=Our Ghosts is inspired by the true story of the disappearance of a Canadian forces jet and its two pilots, one of whom was the playwright’s father. Our Ghosts explores the interplay and ramifications of the official and personal responses to the mysterious vanishing of the pilots. At its heart, this play is about one woman’s lifelong quest to find her husband, about the ripple effects on the family he left behind, and about learning how to live with our ghosts.

=0D=0A=Sally Stubbs is an award-winning playwright and educator. She also directs, acts and produces. Her scripts, published by Scirocco Drama, have been presented in Canada, Sweden, India and South Africa.
=0D=0A=In August 2017 Our Ghosts was be presented at the 2018 Women Playwrights International Conference in Santiago, Chile. Her play And Bella Sang With Us, inspired by Canada’s first women police officers, was pick of the 2016 Vancouver Fringe, was remounted by the Firehall Arts Centre, and was nominated for two Jessie Awards. In the works: a workshop and reading of the pilot of The Centurions Project, a community engagement project involving youth. Current writing projects include Polly and the Penthouse, a musical set in Vancouver’s legendary Penthouse Nightclub, Underbelly (a series pilot adaptation of And Bella Sang With Us), and a drama education text targeting post-secondary educators which Sally is happy to be co-writing with Dr. Sharon Wahl of Vancouver Island University, Nanaimo.
