Cast off your Canadian politeness and show off your Canadian know-how, as Nanaimo's Western Edge Theatre presents The Great Canadian Challenge, a fundraiser on Saturday, May 6th.
=0D=0A=While enjoying a beer and burger (because what could be more Canadian?), contestants will be presented with questions on all things Canuck, with prizes going to those demonstrating the most true patriot savvy.
=0D=0A=“Enter a team,” says artistic director Brian March, “or we’ll join you up with one when you arrive. And then get set for some fun and friendly competition. You’ll get a jump on Canada’s 150th birthday celebrations, and also on our 2017-18 season, which will feature an all-Canadian line-up.”
=0D=0A=All proceeds go to Western Edge, one of the leading engagers of theatre artists and technicians on central Vancouver Island.
=0D=0A=The Great Canadian Challenge begins at 6:30 pm on Saturday, May 6th at the Taphouse Restaurant Upstairs, 321 Selby St., Nanaimo. Tickets cost just $25, with a beer (or other beverage) and burger plate included. A $10 tax receipt is also available.
