LOCATION:Tally Ho Sports Bar :: 3020 Douglas Street Victoria,
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:
Experienced, road-tested and tougher than a two by four, The 24th Street Wailers is a band made up of five musicians who take vintage rock and roll, 60’s R&B, and rockabilly and kick it up a notch. Their hard-swinging shows earned them two consecutive Maple Blues Award nominations for “Best Entertainer of the Year” in 2013 and 2014. Their latest album Where Evil Grows was also nominated for the 2015 Juno for “Best Blues Album of the Year”. Bob Mersereau with East Coast Music CBC said The 24th Street Wailers are “one of the best live bands in the country, and the albums match that excitement as well.” Their hard-swinging, nostalgic blues insists you crank the volume and join the party!
=0D=0A=

The 24th Street Wailers are led by Lindsay Beaver, a flame-haired vocalist, drummer, and songwriter who was nominated for the 2014 Maple Blues Award for “Drummer of the Year.” Lindsay is joined by tenor saxophonist Jon Wong, who won the Maple Blues Award for “Horn Player of the Year” in 2012, Michael Archer on Upright Bass, Marc Doucet on Guitar, and Jesse Whiteley on Piano. These Toronto/Austin based blues-rockers are one of Canada’s hardest partying and hardest working bands.
=0D=0A=

They win over the masses with their unbeatable live performances and a sense of showmanship from a time gone by, something many consider lost in modern day music. The 24th Street Wailers last played in Victoria at the 2015 Vancouver Island Blues Bash. They’re back in Victoria to rock out once again at the Tally Ho Sports Bar & Grill.
